These baguettes are easily made and doesn’t take long time. If you’re an early bird you can make them for breakfast during weekend, and if you’re not an early bird I can comfort you with the fact that they taste very good whenever served! These can be served with a nice soup or other light dishes so collect your baking bowl and go ahead. Enjoy!
5 dl lukewarm water
2 tbsp. walnut oil
1 tbsp. honey
50 gr yeast
4 dl wholemeal rye
approx. 8 dl plain flour
2 tsp. sea salt
2 dl walnut
Mix all dry ingredients.
Dissolve yeast and honey in lukewarm water (if you use dry yeast mix it directly to the flour before adding water and honey). Pour it into flour mix and mix well. I use the kitchen machine and keep it going for about 5 min. Raise for about 1 hour.
Roll out 3 sausages and place them on a baking tray covered with greased paper. Raise again for about 30 min without covering.
Sprinkle some flour on top and cut slightly on the top with a very sharp knife.
Bake in preheated oven to 250 °C for 15 min. Lower the heat to 200 °C and bake for another 10 min.
