This is a very old fashion sponge cake with “marble” effect. It’s easy to make and tastes moist and delicious. I make this one now and then, slice it and if there are anything left, I freeze it and just take it out again and slowly heat it in the oven – it tastes almost as freshly made. Enjoy!
125 gr butter
2,5 dl sugar
1,5 dl milk
5 dl plain flour
1 ts baking powder
1 ts vanilla sugar
1 ss coco powder
Mix sugar and butter until white and fluffy. Add one egg at the time and stir well between each. Mix all dry ingredients except cocoa and sift it in together with milk. Stir until even batter.
Pour 2/3 of the batter into a greased tin about 1,5 l. Sift and mix cocoa into the rest 1/3 and pour on top of the light batter. Use a fork to mix light and dark batter a little together – to get the marble effect.
Bake in pre-heated oven in the middle for 50-60 min at 180 deg C.
